"ImagineBloomington" to Envision the City's Planning Future
What do you like about Bloomington today? What does Bloomington look like in the future? Where and how should we live, work, learn, and play? What are our priorities? How do we get there?
These are just a few of the many questions that ImagineBloomington will help to answer. This is the process that will update the Growth Policies Plan (GPP), which is the City's current comprehensive plan. The GPP was last updated 10 years ago, making this the perfect time to assess progress and seek input on the future direction of Bloomington.
This update will be a multi-year effort designed to reflect the community's goals, values and aspirations. ImagineBloomington will ask Bloomington residents and stakeholders to look toward the future and help develop a new vision addressing important planning issues for the City. Once established, the new vision will be used as a foundation for future decisions concerning a wide range of land use, development and planning policy issues for the community.
Public input will be key to the ImagineBloomington visioning process. There are many ways to stay involved - we need to hear from you!
