Neighborhood Benches Project

At our fall picnic on Sunday, October 13, 2013, we celebrated the completion of the Neighborhood Benches Project.

PHNA worked with the City of Bloomington, the White River Central Labor Council (CLC), and Laborers International Union of N. America (LIUNA) 741, to place two 9-foot limestone benches in the east end of Building & Trades Park. The inscriptions on the benches - by renowned local carver-artist Dale Enochs - read "To Good Neighbors" and "In Honor Of All Workers."
Thanks to the generosity of our neighbors, CLC, LIUNA, and the City, this project has been a great success!
